Inside and outside of my creative life, I always find those valuable moments of time to draw and sketch the some of events, spaces and environments on my journeys... Sometimes I think about Robert Byron touring through regions of the Middle East in search of unique towers and monuments, and wonder about Bruce Chatwin venturing through the southern tip of South America and falling in love with Patagonia...Douglas Wittnebel...

And a little more perspective sketching at Chico State
- When you break it down into easy steps, it is easier to learn and apply.
- Once you know the basic guides and rules, it can be applied to almost anything you draw
- Perspective drawing touches upon many Elements of Design: Line, Space, Value, Shape, Scale and Proportion and Form.
- It offers an opportunity for some advanced students to challenge themselves by learning two-point perspective, three-point perspective, and multiple points.
- It uses mathematical concepts like parallel lines, shapes, forms, measuring, and use of tools.
- It can become your essential technique for exploring design solutions ideas, especially when you develop the freehand applications.

Panorama Pandemic film
Now it is the beginning of May, and it is clear that we are all in this together and we have learned so much about ourselves, our families, our workplaces, our habits and our uncertainties.
When I think about our intensely personal and our newly developed public journeys, I see a different sense of creative energy flowing in many new ways.
We really don’t know what is ahead on these trips we will be taking, but I know that the last ten weeks or so have taught me a lot about what it means to be alive and what it means to be truly challenged by the world we live within.
So here is a short film with some illustrations and thoughts about what has happened in the last ten weeks ... family times, WFH, SIP, diagrams, sharing, reading, painting, cooking, feelings, hiking, mask-making, exploring new virtual worlds and seeing the real neighborhoods …
