Maillardian style cooking, Argentine cooking study

August is coming to a close, with some peppery regrets I realize I have not been grilling as much as I wish, and I find a recipe for an Argentine style grilling, a focus on charred and sweet...The ingredients for the fire based meal include salt and pepper, garden rosemary, olive oil, garlic cloves, ripe peaches and boneless pork butt or shoulder...shown here in an array painted with sketchbook pro...

Church of St. Theresa, Bodega, California

Hitchcock used the church as a prime setting for a movie, Ansel Adams viewed and framed it in some photos, and I painted and drew it on the weekend.  The schoolhouse is up beyond to the right on the hilltop. this was a rougher sketch approach to capturing the feelings of today and yesterday...

close up of the LA library pinnacle



from the blog of the vigilant citizen, "...Throning at the top of the Library is probably the complex’ most distinctive feature: A tiled pyramid topped by a golden hand holding a torch.
