Outside and inside of my work life at Gensler in the Bay Area of San Francisco, California, I try my best to find those valuable moments of free time to draw and sketch the events, spaces and environments on my journeys... I think about Robert Byron touring through regions of the Middle East in search of unique towers and spiraling monuments, and then I think of the unique Bruce Chatwin venturing through portions of South America and falling in love with Patagonia...
The blog will serve as a collection space for a variety of musings and observations of the world around us...sketches, drawings, photos, images and videos...intended to be shared and to stimulate thought and inspiration...douglas wittnebel

Connaught Place, Delhi, Edwin Lutyen's great circle and plans
Was fascinated and intrigued by the scale of the circular plans of Connaught Place, also known as CP Delhi, and also as Rajiv Chowk, and this perspective sketch shows the section through the double height shops and the colonade and parking areas.
